COPENHAGEN, DENMARK – The legendary Scandinavian Team Battle is back for its fifth edition, bringing high-energy skiing, wild tricks, and unbeatable summer vibes to the iconic green dry-slope at CopenHill on June 14th 2025.
Known as the world’s biggest dry-slope ski competition, this event turns Copenhagen into a freestyle playground, where top-tier skiers throw down on a custom-built slopestyle course—made entirely of plastic. With a massive crowd, summer sun, and a course built for big tricks, this year’s event promises to be the best one yet.
The Format
Five national teams, each made up of two skiers, go head-to-head in a fast-paced, team-based format. Every duo rides the course together, pushing boundaries with creativity, technical tricks, and crowd-pleasing stunts. Expect big sends, weird moments, and jaw-dropping runs that will leave both the judges and crowd buzzing.
Who’s Competing?
Defending champion Jesper Tjäder of Team Sweden was set to return but, due to injury, won’t be competing this year. However, his teammate Emil Granbom is bringing in Joel Magnusson as an alternate to defend the title.
They’ll face fierce competition from squads representing Denmark, Norway, Finland, and a new addition this year: Team France.
New This Year: Open Qualifier Rail Jam
Think you’ve got what it takes to ski with the pros? For the first time ever, the Scandinavian Team Battle introduces an open qualifier rail jam—happening on the same day as the main event.
It’s free to enter, and the top two riders will earn a spot in the main competition, along with VIP passes to the event and afterparty. Plus, participants will have the chance to win great prizes throughout the day. Whether you’re a local shredder or a visiting skier, this is your shot to be part of the action… Oh, and the man himself Jesper Tjäder will be the main judge deciding the contenders faith!
More Than a Ski Contest
“Scandinavian Team Battle is more than just skiing on plastic—it’s a celebration of the
culture, the city, and the local community. I couldn’t be more stoked to welcome this level of talent to my home city. This year is going to be next level.” – Jakob Ebskamp, event organizer and skier for Team Denmark
Beyond the competition, the event is a one-day festival packed with bars, food stands,
pop-up shops, and plenty of fun activities for everyone. When the skiing wraps up, the
vibe continues with a live concert and a huge rooftop afterparty, keeping the adrenaline
and energy high all night long. It’s the perfect mix of ski culture, summer fun, and
Copenhagen spirit.
